Kai Tak Sports Park
A civic-minded brand identity connecting local communities with global sporting and entertainment events.
overview
Kai Tak Sports Park is Hong Kong’s largest sports and entertainment development, built on the historic airport site. The brief was to create a brand identity that positions the venue as both a local hub for participation and an international stage for major events.
Concept & Execution
The strategy centred on transformation, participation, and movement, reflecting the park’s evolution from airport to civic destination.
Inspired by the six distinct zones, the identity needed to feel modular yet unified, with forms and visuals that conveyed energy, play, and collective flow.
The visual language was designed to resonate with local audiences while remaining flexible enough to support international events, ensuring the brand works across multiple contexts.
OUTPUT
I led the creation of the visual system, including modular forms, colour palettes, and graphic elements.
The identity was implemented across digital platforms, wayfinding signage, ticketing, and event presentations, including bids for major sporting events such as the World Fencing Championships.
Conclusion
The brand established Kai Tak Sports Park as a flexible, scalable identity capable of supporting both local and international programming.
By embedding the spirit of participation across every touchpoint, the system positioned the venue as a living symbol of civic pride and global connection.
