Rekurv is a premium sub-brand created by Louis Moto for riders who live for speed, precision, and performance. The brief was to design a brand that feels as aerodynamic as the machines it represents, a distilled expression of energy, motion, and intent.
Concept & Execution
The strategy translated the physics of speed into visual form. Aerodynamics, mechanical tension, and motion cues informed every design decision, from logo geometry to typographic hierarchy, ensuring the identity felt alive, even when static.
“Rekurv” evokes both the arc of acceleration and the recurve form found in high-performance design, serving as a linguistic and visual metaphor for momentum.
A stripped-back palette of black and red grounded the brand in moto heritage, while bold typography balanced technical precision with raw intensity.
OUTPUT
I led the creative direction from naming through to full identity creation, shaping a brand world that spanned apparel, packaging, retail communications, and social media. The wordmark and graphic system were built to feel taut, fast, and charged with kinetic energy.
The identity flexes effortlessly across scales, from the micro-detail of a zip pull to large-format retail displays, maintaining coherence and energy throughout.
