Editorial craft at an international pace

SHOP is a global luxury shopping and travel guide, published seasonally in over 40 destinations worldwide. As part of the creative team, I was responsible for delivering key editorial articles across its international editions, a role that demanded both strong design sensibility and the ability to thrive in high-pressure production cycles. I managed layout design, copy flow, and artwork corrections across multiple concurrent issues, often balancing tight deadlines with the need for consistent quality. The challenge wasn’t just speed, it was ensuring that every issue, in every market, reflected the magazine’s elevated luxury positioning while staying relevant to local audiences. Beyond production, I also contributed to the magazine’s visual identity by collaborating on cover direction. This included commissioning illustrators and guiding them with editorial themes, visual cues, and market insights to create distinctive, attention-grabbing covers that stood out in competitive retail and travel spaces.

Consistent luxury, issue after issue

Overseeing the design and delivery of SHOP at scale meant maintaining a high bar for editorial quality across 40+ seasonal editions. The result was a publication that consistently balanced luxury storytelling with market-specific nuance, proving that design discipline and creativity can coexist in fast-moving publishing environments. For me, the project was a masterclass in both craft and scale: shaping individual stories with care, while orchestrating a production system that ensured consistency across a truly global footprint.
